Advanced presentation skills
Our TellingPeople days are introduction-level courses but sometimes people need something extra, which is where these courses come in.
Who needs advanced skills training?
There are two groups - broadly speaking - who should be getting in touch about advanced training
- if you've been on one of our standard TellingPeople courses; or
- if you've had plenty of experience in making presentations and want to move up a gear
So how do we do advanced presentation skills training?
You should have a presentation ready and handy. The structure of the course is simple. We start with a short warm-up and introduction to get ourselves ready to work, then we simply take it in turns to make a presentation.
After each presentation you'll be invited to comment how you thought it went, other members of the course will then chip in and finally you'll get some expert feedback from the staff of Curved Vision. Don't worry, it's all done in a very supportive atmosphere and all the criticism is positive.
We won't leave you just with the things that could be better - we'll show you how to make practical improvements and give you some time to have a go, too.
This interactive format means you get
- feedback from a general audience who have a fresh perspective about what you tell them
- chance to practice and make your mistakes where you'll learn from them rather than suffer from them
- a chance to see other people with other styles and learn from them
Where and when are these courses?
Unlike our standard days, advanced presentation skills training takes place in evenings. We'll provide you with light refreshments to keep you going. The idea is that you can get some really good advanced training without it interfering with your normal working week.
But don't worry - it's still fun!
How much is this training?
Not as much as you might think.
We start at 5:45PM and work through until about 8:30PM. Allowing for a break, that's about two and a half hours work, plus chance to network and get informal help afterwards. Costs are only £55 per person.
Don't forget our promise too: if you don't think your evening's been worthwhile, just say so and we'll not charge you: simple!

We won't pressure you to do either this or our basic course, so you should get in touch for a chat. We'll talk to you about what's best for you and if this is likely to be useful for you.
